This is the first post of my AT thru hike blog! I'm looking forward to this sucker kicking off many more posts with much cooler news and more exciting content. I'm sending this post from my cell phone. Since most of my Internet exposure during the hike will be thru my iPhone, I figured I'd better start getting used to this.
Where things stand right now... I put in my notice at work this week. So I am focusing my energy into wrapping up work neatly and cleanly for my yet to be named replacement. I want a nice smooth transition for them when i make my exit on December 4. Away from work, I'm spending my time getting my belongings ready for the move east. I'm so excited about the hike, and can't help myself from thinking about it, reading about it and strategizing it in my head. But I have to put first things first... Wrap up work and make the 3,000 mile move.
I have to keep the ultimate goal in sight however. So, the inaugural blog post photo is a googled pic of the sign marking the northern terminus of the trail... aka the end. I'm looking forward to taking this same photo in person but with me standing over it, oooh in about 10 months from now. Nate
