Kind of a rough night. I awoke at 2AM and... I'll just say I was having plumbing issues. My co-hikers jokingly commented that I might have what I call the "Super-G". Its Giardia Lamblia, if you're not into the whole brevity thing. Anyone, but especially hikers, can contract this bug from not properly treating water from natural sources or from lax hygiene practices. But, I think my issue is just one of those in and out bugs. I feel fine otherwise.
Michael J, Able and I grabbed a quick breakfast bite at the convenience store while other hikers prepared to head off into the hundred mile wilderness. We then did our laundry, I caught up on some phone calls, I uploaded some more photos, we watched a couple flicks. All the while the rain was blowing in and out. It was great to be in town while the weather was crappy and just relax.
We ate a big lunch and I took a nice 3 hour nap this afternoon. When I awoke there were a lot of familiar faces. Two Rings, Marty McFly, NLC and Casper had all reserved. I'm hoping I'll see Capt. Slick and Krispy Kritter tomorrow, but we'll see. I heard at dinner that a few people got stung by the same bees that attacked Able and I yesterday. We probably should have put up a sign or something. Oops.
My day tomorrow will include a trip to the post office to mail home some items I don't need and a trip to Greenville, ME to resupply.
Sidenote... I started this hike weighing 208 lbs. I weighed myself on the bathroom scale at the Lakeshore House this morning. I'm 174. That's 34 lbs lost in these 6 months. My average pack weight is about 34 lbs. I weigh the same with my pack on now as I did with no pack on March 2nd.

Enjoy the 100 mile wilderness!!! I highly recommend camping at Rainbow Lake Dam -- 2 miles north of Rainbow Stream lean-to (the one with the totem pole). It's on a 0.2 side trail, lots of campsites, view straight across the lake to Katahdin...looking east too, for a perfect sunrise :-)
