meager 420 mi in Day 1 we set a lofty goal of a 600 mile Day 2. Well
check out the pic. With traffic, terrain and weather like this, we
were able to knock 623 off the itinerary. We had some amazing Mexican
food in Deming, New Mexico at Irma's. I found the place on Yelp.com
and the app is quickly becoming a godsend on this trip. We cruised
through El Paso in the afternoon and pushed the needle to Fort
Stockton with a little night driving. A MUCH better hotel tonight.
Thank god.
The goal tomorrow is to be eating Salt Lick BBQ for lunch in
Driftwood, TX. Can't wait for that.
