XC Move ~ Day 3

A great sleep in Fort Stockton and we got our earliest start yet... 7
AM. We had good reason to get a move on... Lunch... one of the
greatest barbeque joints in the world, the Salt Lick BBQ (http://www.saltlickbbq.com
) in Driftwood, Texas.

It began great with clear weather and zero traffic for the first hour.
But then we hit a fog wall. It hung there for a few hours and we had
to slow waaay down and even put the flashers on. But we still made it
to the salt lick as planned. And the dozens of dead, mutilated deer
along I-10 and highway 290 didn't ruin our appetite.

We cruised into Houston... But then hit horrible rain and traffic in
our effort to get on the east side of the city before the day 3 stop.
Finding lodging was an adventure too, but nevertheless, we are poised
to take Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama tomorrow.
